Delivery and installation
From the box to artwork on your wall
Your artwork arrives as separate components. You assemble it at home and screw the frame directly to the wall. Here is what you receive and what you need to do.
What is in the kit?
- Aluminium frame sections in your chosen colour, with corner connectors and backing plates.
- Sound-absorbing polyester wool to fit inside the frame.
- Self-adhesive hook-and-loop strips to secure the filling.
- Printed fabric featuring your chosen artwork.
Screws and wall plugs are not included. Choose fixings suitable for your wall.
For lengths over 190 cm, frame sections may be supplied in multiple pieces.
What do you need?
A drill with a suitable drill bit, a flat-head screwdriver, a spirit level and a pencil. You also need suitable screws and wall plugs.
Work on a clean surface and keep sharp objects away from the fabric. Check for pipes and wiring before drilling. For larger sizes, a second person can help hold and align the frame.
Installation in 4 steps
Assemble the frame
Join the frame sections using the corner connectors and backing plates. Tighten them in the channels and check that the corners meet neatly.
Screw the frame to the wall
Hold the frame level against the wall and mark the fixing points. Drill the holes, insert suitable wall plugs and screw the frame in place.
Fit the sound-absorbing filling
Stick the hook-and-loop strips to the wall inside the frame. Attach the polyester wool with its soft side facing the wall. If the filling comes in several pieces, fit them snugly together.
Press the fabric into the frame
Fold the flexible edge of the fabric inwards. Press the four corners into the outer channel first, then work along each edge from the corners towards the middle. Press the edge firmly into place.
How long does installation take?
Installation time depends on the size, your wall and your DIY experience. Allow time for both assembly and drilling and fixing the frame. Contact us before ordering for advice on your chosen size and wall.
